Audiobook Update (Plus a Bonus)
Ahh . . . yes, I’ve been listening to audiobooks—either because it best fits my schedule (you know, I can multitask) or because the language is so beautiful I just love to hear it pass through my ears. BONUS: Also linked is my first post about audiobooks from back in 2017, where I review some fave titles and recall the days of carrying boxed CDs in my car!
So, here’s is a hodgepodge of titles I’ve tapped into lately:
Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil – I mean, it IS a story by V.E. Schwab after all. Read by Julia Whelan. ’Nuff said! Even though I’m not always a vampire book girl, these characters and story wowed me.
Less by Andrew Sean Greer (Loved!) A struggling novelist (wink, wink) travels the world to avoid an awkward wedding. Read by Robert Petkoff.
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller – Please, please bring me all things mythology by this author. Read by Frazer Douglas.
Wolf at the Table by Adam Rapp (Scary, you guys. Scary. A serial killer’s involved.) Read by Paul Sparks.
Three Days in June by Anne Tyler (Simple. Wise. Well-crafted family story. And I had to quiet things down after that last book!) Read by J. Smith-Cameron.
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan (Voice! Fun! Did I ever mention I adore love stories?) Read by Hillary Huber.
