Colleen Oakley’s You Were There Too grabbed me from the opening pages and kept me guessing throughout, which I love. The premise alone gave me goosebumps: A happily married woman has had dreams of a man she’s never met … and then one day they meet and it turns out he dreams of her too. The characters are so well-developed, their thoughts and feelings exquisitely rendered. The story’s interesting background about dreams is an added treat. I read this book in two sittings (a page-turner!) and literally sobbed at the end. (Not just cried. Sobbed, I tell you.) How I do love a good tear-jerker.
